Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #12 (MR UNUSUAL) (3-1) - Improving 3yo rallied to finish 2nd at this distance April 17 at Oaklawn, but was disqualified for causing an early traffic jam heading into the first turn. He's worked four times here this month for John Sadler, and it's noted the winner of his last scored here again on Memorial Day. I give him top billing.
2nd pick: #8 (Gambit) (4-1) - Veteran maiden has good early speed and has been competitive in seven of his last eight attempts. A 5yo gelded son of 'Blame,' he should be involved every step and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #13 (Unimaginable U) (9-2) - A well-bred and very lightly raced 4yo, he had a very wide trip when missing by just over two lengths at this distance facing $16K claimers April 26 at Oaklawn. The gelding is on the also-eligible list but only needs one scratch in the 12-horse main body to run. He's a contender if he does.
4th pick: #1 (Golden Rule Haven) (8-1) - This home-bred rallied from far back to finish 2nd, a 1/2-length in front of 'Unimaginable U' April 26 at Oaklawn. 3yo worked here May 19, has a ground-saving post, and must be left in the mix.
