Top pick: #11 (RAPHAEL ALEXANDRO ) - Lightly-raced colt by "Medaglia d'Oro" cost a cool $500,000 and last out showed some ability finishing 2nd at the Fair Grounds in his second start of this year after coming back from a four month layoff. In the barn of Steve Asmussen, colt has a pair of sharp works on this surface and draws a nice outside post. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #8 (Henceforth) - Clearly the main speed he tired at Keeneland on April 10, but this colt by "Hennessy" is clearly a better animal on conventional dirt and that's what he runs on today. The addition of blinkers only helps his chances.
3rd pick: #2 (Bold Victory) - Well-bred ("Vindication") and expensive $550,000 colt finished second at this distance at Oaklawn March 27 and a series of three nice works since coming here from Arkansas. Contender.
4th pick: #4 (Spicer ) - He finished fourth with a late rally in his seasonal bow sprinting at Gulfstream March 20 and is another who's working well locally for this attempt. Ready to show whatever he has.
