Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (HARVEY WALLBANGER) (2-1) - He missed by a 'nose' at this level and distance Oct. 7 at Keeneland. Competitive in both starts, he's brought back quickly, breaks just off the rail, and this son of 'Congrats' will be tough with a repeat of his latest effort.
2nd pick: #6 (Quicksilver) (15-1) - Longshot tired after rushing up following a troubled break when debuting on the Keeneland grass at this level Oct. 5. Trainer Larry Jones (23% second time out) moves him to the dirt (19%), and I think this $400,000 son of 'Orb' will be competitive at a big price.
3rd pick: #10 (Gun It) (7-2) - Son of 'Tapit' sold for a whopping $2,600,000 as a yearling in Sept. of 2017. In the Asmussen barn (18% first out), colt has worked seven times here since Aug. 31 with the last six of those being well above average. His outside post is a negative, but he must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #8 (Johny's Bobby) (9-2) - He's finished 2nd in two straight since trainer Phil Bauer added both Lasix and blinkers. Stretch runner is working steadily and will be closing fast today.
5th pick: #7 (Night Ops) (10-1) - Colt rallied to finish 2nd here going a mile Sept. 15, then made up some ground while wide at this trip Oct. 7 at Keeneland. He was almost 10 lengths back of 'Harvey Wallbanger' last out, so a minor award may be his ceiling.
