Top pick: #3 (PROUDINSKY) - His only poor race in his last six starts came on a "yielding" course at Belmont last fall in the "Turf Classic" (G1). His seasonal debut at the Fair Grounds was just outstanding. Breaking from post 14, he raced close-up while wide and surged in the last two strides to get the victory in a very good field. Working sharply since for "Hall of Famer" Bob Frankel, he's the chioce in what looks like a four. Good chance from on, or just off the top. Horse affair.
2nd pick: #6 (Einstein) - Very talented Grade 1 turf runner has become a major stakes winner late in life on both dirt and poly. Likes to race just off the pace and in this field that should lead to a comfortable trip, he'll need to out-kick the top pick and hold off "Court Vision" late.
3rd pick: #4 (Court Vision) - Always thought that this runner had ability and last year he started to fulfill that promise when switched to the turf. Now a multiple Graded winner, he has developed into a fearsome stretch runner. He'll be heard from late.
