Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #11 (RUSHING FALL) (6-5) - Undefeated (4 for 4) daughter of 'Uncle Mo' closed out her 2017 with a come-from-behind win in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1) at Del Mar Nov. 3. Given a five month break by trainer Chad Brown $320,000 purchase won Keeneland's Appalachian Stakes (G2) April 8 in her seasonal bow. The only thing hat stands in her way is her difficult outside post.
2nd pick: #3 (Altea) (6-1) - French import went 5-1-2-1 in her native land and closed out 2017 with a second place finish in a Group 3 contest Oct. 18. Sent here soon after, filly moved to the barn of Chad Brown who also trains 'Rushing Fall'. She rallied strongly to finish third of 11, beaten a 'head' in the Florida Oaks (G3) at Tampa Bay Downs in her U.S. debut March 10. Training steadily, she completes a strong 1-2 punch from trainer Brown.
3rd pick: #2 (Beyond Blame) (10-1) - Stalker has been sharp in all four starts, each on the grass. She's gone 2-2-0 to date and home bred missed by a length at the Fair Grounds March 10 in her only previous stakes attempt. Training above average, daughter of 'Blame' has a fine post and is capable of factoring at a big price.
4th pick: #4 (Figarella's Queen) (12-1) - Very sharp in all three grass attempts filly runs off a private trainer switch to Brad Cox who also trains 'Beyond Blame'. Front runner won a $125K stakes at Gulfstream March 31 and it's noted that the very selective John Velazquez is aboard for the first time.
