The veteran was an easy winner by 4.5 lengths there at this level April 2 and has an excellent record (9-2-4-2) at this 6.5-furlong trip. The 7yo worked very fast on May 9, and I like his chances today.
2nd pick: #2 (Mojovation) (7-2) - He's dropping down after missing by four lengths when facing tougher at Oaklawn April 17. He had finished 2nd there in his previous start (March 1), and along with the drop, trainer John Sadler is adding blinkers (21%) and has Joel Rosario aboard.
3rd pick: #4 (Land Battle) (8-1) - This very consistent veteran has been freshened up since a sharp win March 21 at Turfway Park facing similar types. Stalker has been working fast there for this attempt and was an easy winner here at this tag Sept. 15 of 2018 in his only previous local appearance.
4th pick: #8 (Charge the Line) (10-1) - This speedy Louisiana-bred is working fast here for his first since a 2nd place finish when facing state-breds at the Fair Grounds March 21. He's gone 5-1-2-0 here in the past and is dangerous if ready off the nine-week break.
5th pick: #10 (Hard Belle) (12-1) - This colt ships from Gulfstream where he missed by a 'neck' on April 18 facing similar. Stalker draws a good outside post and is capable of getting a share at a big price.
