Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #11 (GARDEN AFFAIR) (4-1) - This well-bred filly checked in 3rd of 12, missing by just over a length when facing tougher at this distance April 30 at Oaklawn Park. It was her second off a private sale and trainer change to Chris Hartman and her second back following a six-month layoff. 4yo was working fast in Arkansas before shipping here, and I like her prospects.
2nd pick: #3 (Aden) (8-1) - A WinStar home-bred by 'Curlin,' she's been competitive in two of three so far and is dropping into a claimer for the first time. I don't think she cared for the sloppy surface at Oaklawn last out, and I believe this 3yo is dangerous today.
3rd pick: #4 (Soothing) (5-1) - Away from action since late April of last year, she's gone 4-0-3-1 when facing maidens and is dropping into a claimer off the almost 13-month layoff. Working steadily, she's a threat if ready.
4th pick: #1 (Sense You Left) (8-1) - She's stretching out after finishing 4th, just under a length behind 'Garden Affair' last out at Oaklawn. The stalker has the rail, drops, and she had a local half-mile breeze on May 16.
