Top pick: #5 (PREMIER STEPS) - She's one of four fillies from the British Isles making their North American debuts in this $100K stakes. Her Time Form "figures" are the best of quartet and it's nice to see that she's shown early speed in most of her starts. Runs fisrt time for Chad Brown (a 33% winning angle) and the trainer has been victorious with 5 of 11 runners making their U.S. debuts.
2nd pick: #2 (Travesura) - Improving filly by "Limehouse" was a good looking maiden winner going "down the hill" at Santa Anita on Oct. 7. Race was her first ever on the turf and trainer Jeff Mullins has her working well for her first stakes attempt and first against winners.
3rd pick: #4 (Miss Empire) - She's won a pair of stakes this year, taking the "Cinderella" here on the poly June 16th, and last out won the "Park Place Dancer" on the Golden Gate grass Oct. 27. Must be left in the mix.
