Top pick: #2 (AUTUMN VIEW) - Filly runs a private trainer change to Mike Puype and also off a four-month layoff. Cal-bred showed some speed in her last before the break and Puype will immediately switch her to the grass for the first time. Working fast and Bejarano (who wins at a 31% rate for Puype) is aboard. The choice at a nice price.
2nd pick: #4 (Special Charm) - Irish-bred import also is racing off a layoff (two months) and he's taken money in most of her races. Last November she closed strongly to just miss here at this level and distance and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #1 (Candy Trophy) - Speedy filly moves to the grass for the first time after setting a fast pace before titing here on the all-weather surface May 19th. Race was her first off a three month break and she'll be making back to back starts for the first time.
4th pick: #7 (Revered) - Filly by "Dixie Union" cost $330K and is in a barn (Ron Ellis) that's known for it's patience. She exits the same main-surface race as "Candy" and raced wide and evenly. Effort was encouraging and was her first in 15 months.
