Top pick: #2 (BOURNE HOT) (3-1) - One of two entered by trainer Doug O'Neill, and the pair give him a strong hand in today's finale. Son of "Latent Heat" has early speed, good grass form, and Bejarano stays put.
nd pick: #10 (Closet E) (5-1) - The second of the O'Neill duo, he runs first off a claim (22%), and colt by "Street Sense" finished second here for a $50K tag the day he was claimed. Well-bred, improving, and a win candidate.
rd pick: #6 (Sams Blue Cat) (8-1) - Colt raced well when finishing fourth when debuting at Santa Anita for a $50K tag Oct. 4th. Claimed that day by Mike Pender, he's freshened him up for 70 days, and moves him from dirt to turf.
th pick: #7 (Frosted Boss) (8-1) - Colt showed good early speed before tiring in his debut here Nov. 24th. Trainer Vann Belvoir brings him back quickly, and moves him to the grass.
th pick: #8 (Geldautomat) (8-1) - Unraced since early July, colt has a new trainer (Patty Gallagher), and has raced well in both starts facing maidens. Working well, and he gets some weight off.
