Top pick: #5 (DEN'S LEGACY) (3-1) - The fields most experienced 3yo, he's been freshened up since tiring in the "Arkansas Derby"(G1) on April 13. That was his first rest since coming to the races last July 1, and he's been keeping nothing but top company for the past nine starts. Training fine and the last time he ran here colt finished third in the rich "Cash Call Futurity"(G1) on Dec 15th.
2nd pick: #8 (Manando) (5-2) - He's from the same barn (Baffert) as "Den" and he enters this off an absolutely "monster' wire-to-wire win here at this distance on May 3. By far a career best, the 'figure' earned dwarfs anything the others has ever earned. Working fine since, this is a much tougher field, but anything near his last effort would win this.
3rd pick: #2 (Counting Days) (6-1) - He goes turf to "poly" for this, and comes off a pair of third place finishes in stakes. His lone win came on a similar surface to this at Keeneland last fall and he can factor at a square price with his best.
4th pick: #6 (Tiz a Minister) (6-1) - Deep closer was considered "Derby" material earlier this year, but he's lost three in a row and would need a fast/and or contested pace to develop for anything more than a minor award.
