Top pick: #6 (WILD TONY) (5-2) - He takes a big drop in class and will be going turf to "poly" for trainer Doug O'Neill. Gelding has the best early speed, meets a weak field on paper, and two back he missed by a head on this surface racing for a $30K tag. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #2 (Caveman Keno) (3-1) - Claimed April 28th by Kristin Mulhall from Bob Baffert for $20K, colt set a pressured pace and tired late to finish fourth at the purchase price on May 12th. He may need to take back a bit early on as "Tony" is faster and will probably want the top. 4-year-old can factor in this "ho hum" field.
3rd pick: #5 (Stormin City) (5-1) - Home-bred raced evenly in his first pair at Santa Anita and will be running off an eight week break for trainer Mike Puype. Drops down a bit, is and is working above average locally for his first on a "poly" surface.
4th pick: #4 (Somewhere With You) (12-1) - Longshot hasn't raced since Oct. 18, but has some fine works on view for the Belvoir barn. Gelding took some money in his debut and his first two appearances were in races that produced a lot of next out winners. Can factor at a big price.
