Top pick: #7 (SWEET MARINI) (9-5) - The probable favorite, lightly raced filly from the Baffert barn cuts back in distance after finishing a pace-setting second here in the $245K "Melair" stakes going 8.5 furlongs April 27. By far a career best and she's worked well since.
2nd pick: #5 (Awe'Some Kitten) (10-1) - Price play ran evenly last out after "bobbling" at the start in her first race in 6 1/2 months. Stalker has worked very fast since, including a bullet half-mile breeze here on May 15. Her maiden win was on this strip and filly is a big threat at long odds.
3rd pick: #3 (Luxuriance) (5-1) - Consistent Arizona-bred ships back from Turf Paradise where she just missed in a small stakes April 27. She's run well on both turf and real dirt and will be racing on a synthetic surface for the first time.
4th pick: #1 (Tribal Peace) (4-1) - Lightly raced, she hasn't run since finishing third in a $100k stakes at Del Mar last July in her first facing winners. Filly won her debut on this surface in late June and is working sharply for her comebacker. Major factor if ready.
