Top pick: #7 (STORM CASTLE) (3-1) - He broke slowly and ran evenly when debuting facing special weights on the Santa Anita turf on Feb. 23. Trainer Mike Puype has given him almost three months to recover and will drop him into a claimer and switch him to the "all weather." Working fast for his return and he can take this with an alert start.
nd pick: #5 (Sports Report) (7-2) - He just missed last out at Santa Anita when racing at this tag going 7 furlongs on the dirt. Improving, in a winning barn (Pete Miller), and a win candidate.
rd pick: #1 (Instinctively Bold) (9-2) - Away slowly in his debut, he rushed up to chase a fast pace before weakening. Drops, moves to the rail, and is a major threat with an alert getaway.
th pick: #9 (Regally Soul) (6-1) - Improving quickly at this point, lightly-raced colt rallied to miss by a head here at this tag and trip on April 25. Race was his firt in a claimer and second off an eight month layoff. Must be left in the mix.
th pick: #11 (Dramatic Allan) (5-1) - Blinkers go on and he was only two back of "Soul" on April 25th. Fits, but needs to do a bit better.
