Top pick: #1 (COCONUT CREAM PIE) (9-5) - I had her as my Best Best on May 31, and she missed by a nose at this level and probably should have won that afternoon. Filly had a nice ground saving trip, but was stuck behind a wall of horses turning for home and was forced to rally up the inside. The horse to beat.
nd pick: #3 (Stellar Atmosphere) (6-1) - Heavily bet when debuting here going seven furlongs on the all weather surface May 25. She had a nice spot, but came up empty at crunch time. Trainer Bruce Headley has worked her four times since, and they've all been "bullets." He switches her to the grass, and stretches her out in distance. Dangerous foe.
rd pick: #4 (L L Cool Jo) (6-1) - Strong finisher was only a 1/2 back of "Coconut" last out as she rallied from between horses in the final furlong. Win threat.
th pick: #7 (Tiz a Classy Lass) (8-1) - She ran evenly when debuting here at this level on May 9, and has been given ample time to recover by trainer Marty Jones (19% 2nd time out). Working well, and normal improvement could grab her a share.
th pick: #9 (Kylee's Star) (8-1) - Very wide last out in the same race as "Coconut," she was closing fast, but draws another tough post. Needs some pace help.
