Top pick: #1 (LIME RICKEY) (2-1) - He comes into this off a solid fourth place finish at Santa Anita in the (G2) San Juan Capistrano on April 21 and that was his best overall in quite some time. Strong finisher retains Bejarano and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #5 (Dhaamer) (7-5) - He won this race a year ago, but ran poorly last out at Santa anita in his first back from a long layoff. He's training well since and this is the weakes field he has ever faced.
3rd pick: #2 (Diamondsdiplomat) (3-1) - Clearly the main speed, gelding has gone (4-2-1-0) since coming to Cal from Gulfstream in early Jan. Runs first off a Pete Miller claim and will take them as far as he can.
4th pick: #4 (Niagara Falls) (12-1) - He takes a huge step up in class after breaking his maiden here a week ago. Bred to "run all day" and he could grab a small slice at a big price.
