Top pick: #4 (MANANDO) (5-2) - Speedy and well-bred colt has been freshened up for the past seven weeks by trainer Bob Baffert and is training fast for his return. He broke his maiden here impressively on Dec. 13 and his speed makes him the horse to catch and beat.
2nd pick: #3 (Saint Prado) (8-1) - He tired after setting a fast and pressured pace in the rich "Sunland Park Derby" (G3) on Marh 24th, but had been sharp in all three prior appearances. Working fast for this and he meets an easier field in this spot.
3rd pick: #5 (Chief Havoc) (3-1) - Lightly raced, well-bred, and improving, he was a sharp maiden winner at Santa Anita on April 4th and will be facing winners 7 racing on a "poly" surface, both for the first time. Dangerous if he handles it.
4th pick: #1 (Greeley Awesome) (8-1) - Longshot has the rail and will be dropping back down after a pair of stakes tries. He's won here in the past, fits, and is a threat from "off the pace" at a square price.
