Top pick: #6 (TURN ON THE PUMPS) (5-2) - Gelding by "Kitten's Joy" comes off a career best when he rallied to finish second of eight, beaten a 1/2 length racing here at this level and distance May 26. He's raced himself into shape following an 11 month layoff, and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #7 (Pulpit's Express) (2-1) - He was an easy gate-to-wire winner here for a $25K tag on May 27, and was claimed that afternoon by John Sadler. New barn is great off the claim (29%), and this gelding is an obvious win candidate if he holds his form.
3rd pick: #4 (On the Fence) (6-1) - Lightly raced 3yo was away "slowly," but did well to finish fourth only a bit more than a length back of "Pumps" last out. Much improved since switching to the turf, and a stretch threat in this spot.
4th pick: #2 (Boozer) (8-1) - Speedy and lightly raced, he's working fast, draws a nice post, and is making back-to-back starts for the first time.
