Top pick: #1 (SAINT LOUP) (8-5) - The probable favorite, he was "Group" 2 & 3 paced last year in france and rallied to just miss last out at Santa Anita racing at this level going 12 furlongs. He's back in shape following a pair of layoffs and has a decided class edge on this field. The presence of Bejarano adds to the plusses.
2nd pick: #5 (Unusual Beam) (5-1) - He nevers tires and this "long winded" gelding rallied from far back to win a state-bred allowance at Santa Anita on April 13. In shape and he's run well here on this course in the past.
3rd pick: #4 (Vibrato Jazz) (8-1) - Longshot raced wide and evenly at Santa Anita on Feb 21st and was 4 1/2 back of "Loup" that afternoon. The type that can "run all day" and a stretch threat.
4th pick: #9 (Zackn'mat) (8-1) - No speed type is racing back into shape folowing an 11 month absence and trainer Jeff Mullins will move him to the grass and adds blinkers, both for the first time.
