Top pick: #4 (SCAT PATTY) (6-1) - Daighter of "Scat Daddy" is fast from the gate, lightly raced, and has shown a lot of improvement in her last pair. She was an impressive gate-to-wire maiden winner at Santa Anita on April 14th and trainer Vlad Cerin brings her back quickly for her first facing winners. Most all by her sire handle "poly," and this filly will be tough on the front end at a square price.
2nd pick: #3 (Sister Esperanza) (7-2) - Mare has been freshened up since breaking her maiden on the Santa Anita dirt Jan. 31st racing at this distance for a $30K tag. Trainer Bruce Headley has her training steadily for her first against winners and she's a major factor if she handles this surface.
3rd pick: #5 (It's Aine) (15-1) - Longshot checked in fourth of eight, beaten 5 1/2 lengths when racing at this level and trip at Santa Anita April 18th. Fits, runs third back off a seven week break, and is a stretch threat in a field where most will be tiring down the lane.
4th pick: #1 (Pine Walk) (5-1) - Baffert trained filly drops to a new low in her first since Jan. 10 at Santa Anita where she raced evenly facing tougher. Working fast for her return and she did well here on Dec. 14.
