Top pick: #7 (L.A.WEEKEND) (7-2) - His record syas it all (15-7-0-1) as he's a terror if he gets to the front early, but if put under any pressure in the first 1/4 mile he tends to "fold up" down the stretch. He's 2-for-4 locally, is training very fast for this, and enters off a career best when he won a stakes at Turf Paradise on March 23rd.
2nd pick: #6 (Comma to the Top) (5-2) - Hard-hitter has been facing much tougher fields than this for the past year and has done well during that time. Veteran is 7-for-15 on synthetic surface, and is 3-for-7 locally. Obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Courtside) (15-1) - Another who's very fast from the gate, he's done well on synthetics (7-3-2-0), is working fast, and will be a big price. Don't just dismiss.
4th pick: #5 (Italian Rules) (4-1) - He goes off a reclaim by John Sadler and he paid up $22,500 to get him back. Hard-hitter is a synthetics specialis, is fresh, and comes off a near miss the day he was claimed back. Must be left in the mix.
