Top pick: #2 (ZANBO) - Home-bred has run well in all three starts on the grass and finished 2nd beaten a 1/2 length on this surface going a mile on May 6th. Only her 2nd back off a 3 1/2 month layoff, trainer Mike Puype has worked her twice since and she can take this with a "clean" trip in a big field.
2nd pick: #8 (Sassy and Single) - Grey filly was only 4 lengths back of Zanbo last out and she had a very difficult post (11th of 11). Wide from start to finish that day, she draws better and Bejarano stays put.
3rd pick: #7 (Passionville) - Nice effort last out saw her rally from far back to finish between Zanbo & "Sassy". Grey 4yo has a fine work since and is a stretch threat in this spot.
4th pick: #4 (Highly Rated) - Very wide when debuting going "down the hill" at Santa Anita April 21st, she has a trio of fast works since and will be stretching-out in distance. Rosario is back on the re-ride and this filly's trainer (Carla Gaines) wins at a 32% rate 2nd time out.
