Top pick: #3 (BABY BLAKE) (3-1) - "Baby" finished a close up third when facing tougher here sprinting on the turf. Solid effort came first off a Mike Pender claim and first off a seven week freshening. Barn brings him back in 15 days, drops him down to the purchase price, and has won on this surface in the past.
2nd pick: #7 (Hurry Home Clover) (3-1) - He had some promise back in the fall of 2011, but went in for a 19 1/2 month layoff at that time and tired badly facing tougher here in his return on May 27th. Drops into a claimer for his second back, and trainer Pete Mille wins at a solid 27% clip second off of long vacations.
3rd pick: #6 (Lovemeister) (5-1) - Colt chased and weakened late racing here at this tag on June 6th. He's worked fast since, draws a nice post, and has finished close up in both previous starts at this distance.
4th pick: #2 (Insideandout) (5-2) - Drops, shortens up in distance, and goes turf to "poly" for the Puype barn. Fits, is working fine, and is a win candidate at a short price if he handles the "poly."
