Race was was his first in 12 1/2 months and first for trainer Bob Baffert. Dizney home-bred has come back with a fast work and Baffert brings him back in 18 days for this.
2nd pick: #3 (Corinthian's Song) - Grey colt rallied while racing wide to finish 2nd at Santa Anita when debuting on April 14th. Very capable small barn (Victor Garcia) had him work a near bullet 5 furlongs 4 days ago and this $125,000 son of "Corinthian" is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Fleet Eagle) - In his only previous race on this surface, this colt finished 2nd going 7 furlongs on Dec 10th, the only time in 7 starts that's he's finished "in the money". Working very fast and this speed/stalker must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #5 (Willie Brown) - Triple Crown nominee showed nothing when debuting going "down the hill" at Santa Anita March 24th. Trainer Rick Mandella ( 21% 2nd time out) adds blinkers and switches him from the grass to a "poly" surface. $350,000 grey colt by "Congrats" has a bullet 6 furlong work cross-town on the 21st. Look for him to be much improved today at a big price.
