Top pick: #4 (THE GANG AND I) (3-1) - Very consistent filly (19-6-4-2) has run well on turf, dirt, and synthetics and just missed here at this level and distance on the grass on Nov. 11. Excellent northwest based barn (Jim Penney) moves her to the "all weather" surface and she's been working fast for this attempt. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #2 (So Tempted) (4-1) - Speedy filly exits a turf contest facing tougher Nov. 24 and she set a fast pace and held to finish third while under pressure. Race was her first off a seven week freshening and veteran Art Sherman brings her back quickly, drops her down, and switches her to the "poly." Her speed makes her a win candidate.
3rd pick: #5 (Glee) (3-1) - English-bred filly has raced evenly facing tougher in both North American starts and trainer Mike Mitchell will move her from turf to "poly", drops her in class, and adds blinkers. Races third back off a long layoff and should show whatever she has in this spot.
