Top pick: #1 (RAISE THE HOOF) (3-1) - Well-backed in is first two starts and both came facing special weights. He finished a close up third here in his debut on May 9th, then ran fourth while having some traffic issues in his latest. Has the rail, a fast recent work, and trainer Jeff Bonde drops him into a claimer for the first time.
2nd pick: #8 (Oso Smart) (4-1) - Son of "Curlin" is one of two debuting juveniles from the barn of Doug O'Neill. Colt has a half-dozen publised local works and all but one are way above average. Major player.
3rd pick: #2 (Western Showdown) (5-1) - Heavily bet when debuting here at this tag May 16th, he finished second that day in a small field. The latest saw him away slowly and run evenly once in stride. Colt had a nice work here five days ago and can factor at a square price.
4th pick: #3 (Snowmass Village) (9-2) - Debuting gelding by the reliable "Swiss Yodeler" has some fine works on view and is from a capable small barn (Dean Peterson). Trainer has won 2-of-6 with first-time-runners when racing "tagged" in their unveilings.
