Top pick: #3 (PUBLIC DEFENDER) (8-5) - Lightly raced, he was much improved in his second start when he rallied from close range to finish third of 11, beaten just over a length racing here at this tag 7 trip on May 26th. He's woked twice since and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #1 (Change of Plan) (9-5) - Gelding takes a very big drop this afternoon and he showed excellent early speed two back. In his latest effort he was "rank" and fought his rider most of the contests. Has the rail and a pair of extremely fast works coming into this. Strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Ancient Stone) (3-1) - 3-year-old by "Birdstone" exits the same May 26th race as "Defender" and he raced evenly from a difficult outside post (11th of 11). Gelding has since come back with a near bullet 5-furlong breeze and is in the win mix.
4th pick: #2 (Warren's Cliff S.) (8-1) - He tired after "bobbling" at the break here on May 12th in his first back off almost a four month layoff. Working nicely heading into this and a thteat at a square price.
