2nd pick: #3 (Wise Boss) (9-2) - Grey gelding cost $250K and after one start facing special weights, trainer Ron Ellis (33% second time out) drops him down to run for a $30K tag. Blinkers go on (three for his last eight) and this 3-year-old is set for a big effort.
3rd pick: #9 (Stormin City) (15-1) - He's raced evenly in his first pair and will be stretching out a bit in distance for today's appearance. Trainer Mike Puype has worked him four times on this surface since a fourth-place finish at Santa Anita at this tag on April 4th and he has a shot at a square price.
4th pick: #8 (Soul Saver) (12-1) - He's regressed noticeably since being claimed away from Dave Hoffmans on Jan. 17 and will be running third back following a two month layoff and his connections cut him back in distance.
