Top pick: #3 (GOLDEN GALAXY) (5-2) - Veteran mare is a win machine (9-for-13) and is 3-for-5 on wet tracks. Very fast from the gate she was an easy winner here at this level and distance on May 2nd and was claimed that afternoon by Dom Schettino for $35K. 5-year-old is the main speed and only need out-run "Princess Mara" in the first 1/4 mile to take another.
2nd pick: #1 (Princess Mara) (3-1) - She's won two in a row, the latest coming here on May 23rd going a mile in her first off a Dave Jacobson claim. Mare fits, has the rail, and is 2-for-3 on "off" surfaces. Dangerous.
3rd pick: #6 (Gambling Geraldine) (5-1) - Consistent sort (13-2-3-5), has been freshened up since April 11th when she chased "Galaxy" and tired late to finish third. Mare is training well for her return and she should sit a nice stalking trip just back of that rival.
4th pick: #10 (Drinksonthehouse) (10-1) - Mare has a fine overall record (16-2-7-1) and finished second at this level and distance on March 20th at Aqueduct. Working fine for her first since then, but draws a tough outside post that may limit her to a minor award.
