BELMONT PARK Race #TWO
July 14, 2007
1:30 PM Eastern
(# 8) Coastal Flare - Bob Frankel-trained colt showed speed in dirt debut at difficult seven-furlong distance. Did so experiencing outside pressure for most of the race. Son of fine turf sire Mizzen Mast moves outside, switches surfaces and cuts back a furlong. Should improve off the first race.
(# 1) El Medwar - He ran quite well despite finishing one length behind the top selection in last race - his initial grass experience. Nice drill over the Spa. training track for this.
(# 5) Bb Livermore - Tagg runner attempts grass for the first time. As a son of Mt. Livermore, the move is a natural one. Stalking style and the post aid his chances.
