(# 4) TIGHT GRIP - This race has almost $3,000,000 of horse-flesh, none of whom have won a race at age three and up. "Grip" had a nice debut on the Keeneland Polytrack, was well bet, stalked the pace while out in the track, bid turning for home, got to the lead and was ultimately nipped on the wire. Figure earned was good and Frankel colt has been working steadily for start number two.

(# 2) Garifine - Horse debuted at Churchill in the slop the day before the Derby. Broke running, stayed till the half then tired badly after that. $1.8 million dollar yearling has that initial experience behind him and he's working very swiftly here at Belmont for Mr. Todd Pletcher.

(# 1) Papa Bear - Improved big time with blinkers added in last. Showed better speed, took a slight lead in mid-stretch but couldn't hold off the winner.

(# 4) Hedge Fund - Four years old without a win to his credit, Numbers slipped in last race at a distance, so McGaughey cuts him back to 6.5F.
