(# 7) COMPROMISE - Broke his maiden at this distance in debut run on June 1st. Son of Point Given delivered a very professional performance for a horse making his first start. Broke slowly, trailed the field until past the half, and closed strongly into rather slow fractions. Figure earned compares favorably with the other win candidates. May even get more pace to run at.

(# 3) Mr. White Socks - Not surprising that a son of Horse Chestnut took to the turf. Was involved from the start in the small field(6), but he's always had some speed. Lightly raced runner from the McLaughlin barn, appears to have some ability.

(# 8) Kris Angel - All three of colt's victories are over the grass course here at Belmont. Last two in his return to the infield, show that he's approaching last years level of performance. Not much out of the gate, and he'll have a lot to do around the far turn. Would like it fast/contested.
