(# 6) MT. ORIENT - He ran his best race to date at six furlongs over this turf, last out on June 20. That represented his second lifetime grass race and his first try off a five-month freshening. Trainer Weaver's barn has been picking up some steam lately and this runner looks well meant to break his maiden today.

(# 7) Mighty Thor - Goes tagged for the second time in his career and more importantly, he escapes the tricky rail which he had in latest. Moves towards the outside and his speed can be better utilized from here. Last three on the turf put him squarely in this.

(# 4) Master of the House - Drops into a claimer for the first time and does so wearing blinkers. Regressed a bit in last so the drop is a good move. In prior start he ran one of the highest figures reached by any of these.

(# 2) Philomatt - He has been working swiftly for the return run. He's been away about seven weeks, and the way he's working, everyone else will be rating off of him.
