(# 5) YOU SURE - He ran very well in a longer race in the finale on Belmont Stakes day. Pressed or set the pace the entire race and stayed on until the end to finish fourth. He was beaten by others who had been a distance many times. Speed figure showed a nice forward movement in that event and trainer Carlton Baker cuts him back a bit in distance today. More importantly, he receives Lasix for the first time on the cutback and is a serious speed threat in this weak gathering.

(# 1) Elder Statesman - The second runner in here to receive Lasix rather late in his racing career (start # 9). Ran competitively at this level last season and this is only his second race since Oct. of last season. Should move forward off seasonal debut.

(# 11) Subversive Action - Needs a scratch to run, but if he does get in he is a must use. Improving quickly and has done so with the switch to the turf course.

(# 8) Howdyamissthisone - Ran well at two without threatening when with the Contessa barn. Is now with former wizard Juan Serey and the last sharp work at Monmouth indicates that a big turnaround is possible.
