(# 9) TRIPLE BOGEY BLUES - Blinkers go on gelding who has already proved a bargain, as he cost only $1300 at auction. That's about a day for four at a Yankees game. Horse had a very rough trip at this track and distance in last, eliminating himself at the start, and racing between horses much of the rest of the way. Barn adds blinkers today, and if he breaks cleanly he'll be on or just off the pace the whole nine furlongs.

(# 4) Victory Assured - Logical pick is knocking at the door and ran well last out at this demanding distance. There's little that separates this horse and the top selection other than the blinker angle, and this runner seems to be leveling off with no more upside coming.

(# 6) Sky Dagon - Ran well in his only try at this distance two back from a poor post, and then had the tricky rail going the flat mile on the grass course. He still ran well enough to be considered very dangerous in this field.

(# 's 1 and 2) Brazos and King's Commotion - Either one could get into the exacta, especially with their ground-saving posts.
