(# 8) MORAL COMPASS - Fine debut speed shown against Maimonides on August 6 at Saratoga. Tired down the lane, but the speed shown was a big plus. Has had a month to recover for the Tagg barn. Lasix is added today, and a pair of sharp works, including one on the grass, should improve his finish. Excellent post to flaunt his speed.

(# 7) Kromium Kop - As everyone knows, Todd Pletcher had a sub-par Saratoga meet. But he was doing quite well at the conclusion of the Belmont session before Saratoga. Barn is way too good to hold down. This colt is working very well, debuts with Lasix, and has a nice post.

(# 2) Starbank - Cuts back in distance for Wayne Lukas after trying two-turn racing at Saratoga in his first pair. Ran well enough in both and he was on the pace in one, and making up some ground in the other. Tough inside post to overcome.

(#'s 1 and 5) Pewter and Gio Ponti - Would use these two runners in small exacta boxes with the top two picks.
