(# 2) Joppa Flats - He stretches out again after a fine try in a seven-furlong race at the Spa. Effort came two months off the shelf, and he ran second three back in one of these here at Belmont. Pair of works since the return are fine.

(# 8) Unrestricted - Good debut run going two turns at Saratoga to a wire-to-wire winner. Tried several times to get by, but just couldn't do it. Different game in a one-turn mile, but the initial run was impressive.

(# 's 5 and 6) Gruffles and Putnam County - Would use these two in small exacta boxes with the top pair.
