Top pick: #2 (JERSEY TOWN) - Consistent sort (17-5-8-2) has been lightly raced since upsetting the rich Cigar Mile(G1) back in 201, but he's been competitive in all his starts. Home-bred by "Speightstown" just failed in a sprint stakes at Gulfstream March 31st, a sharp effort in his first start in almost 5 months. That wasn't his best distance but it should set him up nicely for the 84th running of this once very important stakes. Has a solid shot at a square price.
2nd pick: #6 (To Honor and Serve) - The probable favorite is working sharply for his first race since winning the 2011 edition of the Cigar Mile(G1). He was always highly thought of and really came into his own in the 2nd half of last year. Has a flexible style and the only reason I didn't make him the top pick is that "Jersey" has a recency edge on him. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Bold Deed ) - Longshot is the in-form speed and comes off a career best when he hit a 103 "figure" last out at Aqueduct. Working fast since and he'll take them as far as he can.
