Top pick: #1a (I WANT REVENGE) - Extremely talented but hard-luck colt hasn't run since winning the "Wood Memorial" (G1) at Aqueduct in April of '09, a race that would have made him "odds on" in the Kentucky Derby (G1) if he hadn't been injured. That win made him two-for-two on conventional dirt in a pair of just outstanding perfromances. Races today for a new trainer (Rick Dutrow) and son of "Stephen Got Even" is training like he never missed a day. The top selection.
2nd pick: #5 (Regal Ransom) - Much like "Revenge" he's had his share of problems along the way and races for the first time since tiring after setting the pace in the "Breeders' Cup Classic"(G1) last Nov. at Santa Anita. Talented and his two best races have come on real dirt. Training in spectacular fashion and a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #3 (Convocation ) - Likes the local dirt (5-1-3-0) and is in fine present condition. He was 7 lengths behind "Quality Road" last out in the "Met Mile" (G1)on this surface despite breaking "slowly." Working nicely since, he has a shot if he brings his "A" game.
