Top pick: #3 (HIBAAYEB) - Talented English-bred by top sire "Singspiel" faced only the best in her native country and Ireland before coming here last fall and won the G1 Yellow Ribbon at Hollywood Park fresh off the plane Oct. 2nd. Freshened up since an even effort April 2nd at Gulfstream in her first since a close-up finish last Nov at Churchill in the Breeders' Cup F and M Turf S.(G1), she's training fast and should love this 11 furlong trip and the big turns on this course. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #5 (Tarrip) - She's one of three runners entered by trainer Chris Clement and they all race as separate interests. Working fast for her first since finishing 3er at Gulfatream March 20th in the G3 Orchid and mare may be the main-speed of this group. Dominguez, who no doubt had other options, winds up here.
3rd pick: #4 (Cheetah) - Also trained by Clement this grey filly also is an English-bred and was in the world class barn of Luca Cumani before coming to North America. Lightly raced, she was an easy winner in a 13 furlong contest at Keeneland April 23rd in a contest that was switched to the main-track. Garret Gomez, who piloted her that day comes in for the mount.
