Top pick: #8 (DECLAN'S WARRIOR) (4-1) - Lightly-raced colt has yet to run a bad race (4-3-1-0) and comes into this off a "gutsy" win at Aqueduct in the (G3) "Bay Shore" stakes going 7 furlongs on April 6th. He broke his maiden on this surface when debuting Oct. 18 and this late developing 3-year-old is working fast for this on the Saratoga training track.
nd pick: #10 (Igcognito) (6-1) - Darley bred/owned son of "A.P. Indy" has won two in a row and is the type that will enjoy today's 9-furlong distance. Training nicely, stalker draws a good outside post and is a threat in this "wide open" contest.
rd pick: #1 (Freedom Child) (12-1) - He ran much better in the April "Wood Memorial" (G1) than the final result shows and his best race ever came at this distance at Gulfstream om March 10th. Beautifully-bred, and a threat at a big price.
th pick: #5 (Abraham) (7-2) - Pletcher trained colt is lightly raced and comes into this off a fourth-place winins in the (G3) "Illinois Derby" on April 20th. He's won at this distance before, has more speed than most, and should be involved every step.
th pick: #7 (Saint Viguer) (5-1) - Colt is yet another who is improving and he's in the top barn of Chad Brown. He takes a big step up today, but has improved noticeably since blinkers went on two starts back.
