Top pick: #6 (OUR CARAVAN) (6-1) - Price play comes off a career best when he was an easy winner of the $258K "Calder Derby" on April 5th. It was his first in blinkers and he defeated Tampa Bay Derby winner "Ring Weekend" by almost 10 lengths. Stalker has all the speed to his left and gets the call at nice odds.
2nd pick: #4 (Tonalist) (3-1) - He broke his maiden at this distance over a strong field at Gulfstream on Jan. 18 in what his first start since debuting at Aqu. on Nov. 16. Son of "Tapit" followed that up with a second-place finish to the promising "Constitution" there Feb. 22 and has been on the sidelines since. Working nicely and a win candidate.
3rd pick: #3 (Commissioner) (5-1) - One of two entered by trainer Todd Pletcher and the pair race uncoupled. Home-bred by "A.P. Indy" has been racing evenly of late and has had trouble at the break in his latest two outings. Working well for this and long-winded type will have no problem with the distance. Stretch threat.
4th pick: #2 (Fabulous Kid) - Very lightly-raced colt looms the main speed today off a pair of solid starts at Oaklawn to begin his career. Home-bred by "Congrats" ran third last out in a $100K stakes and has a fine local work since shipping north. He's in a new barn (Jimmy Toner) and will take them as far as he can.
