Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (CAPTAIN BOMBASTIC) (5-1) - Competitive in all starts (5-2-2-1), he has a recency edge on several as he finished 2nd twice at the Oaklawn meet going two-turns. That obviously came facing 'open' company, and he's back in with state-breds while shortening up in distance. He won both local starts last year, and I like his prospects.
2nd pick: #4 (Dream Bigger) (2-1) - The morning line and probable favorite, he's gone 7-3-3-1 so far, all facing fellow state-breds and has won three sprint stakes. The latest came at this distance March 15 at Aqueduct when he won the Damon Runyon by almost eight lengths. A strong win threat at a short price.
3rd pick: #8 (Three Jokers) (10-1) - One of several returning from layoffs, he hasn't raced since Oct. 19 when he finished almost six lengths behind 'Captain Bombastic' going a mile here. Colt has a fine series of works showing, draws a good post, and is capable of factoring at a big price if ready.
4th pick: #3 (Gandy Dancing) (7-2) - From the barn of Chad Brown, this son of 'Flatter' won his debut by almost seven lengths going six furlongs at Aqueduct March 15. Working fast, he moves way up in class, but obviously has talent and room for upside.
