Top pick: #1 (IMAGINING) (5-2) - Phipp's home bred passed the $1,000,000 earnings mark when he won the G2 'Pan American' stakes at Gulfstream Park going 1 1/2 miles on the grass March 28th. Veteran is 5-for-10 here at Belmont and is a perfect 2-for-2 at this distance. Seven-year-old by 'Giant's Causeway' won this stakes last year and draws a great post to save ground from. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #4 (Twilight Eclipse) (3-1) - A 'hard luck' type, he always gives everything he has and has lost many times in big money races by short margins. Last out he was less than a length of 'Imagining' at Gulfstream. Veteran speed/stalker should be involved every step.
3rd pick: #3 (War Dancer) (12-1) - Longshot finished third at Keeneland April 4th in a contest that was taken 'off the turf'. He probably needed that start for conditioning purposes in his first race since Oct. 19. Stalker is capable of impacting at a big price with his 'A' game.
4th pick: #6 (Hardest Core) (4-1) - He's made huge strides in his lightly raced career and captured the G1 'Arlington Million' last August. He wasn't beaten much in his follow up start Nov. 1 in the Breeders' Cup Turf Classic (G1) and hasn't raced since then. A major threat if ready.
