2nd pick: #5 (Inspector Lynley) (7-2) - Late developing son of 'Lemon Drop Kid' enters off a career best when he won the G3 Saranac Stakes Sept. 3rd at Saratoga. He was a 'head' in front of 'Camelot Kitten' that day and must be considered a major threat.
3rd pick: #10 (Beach Patrol) (4-1) - One of two entered by trainer Chad Brown, and the pair race uncoupled. Stalker rallied to win the rich G1 Secretariat Stakes Aug. 13th at Arlington Park. That ran his grass slate to 8-3-2-2, and he should be a strong factor in the final 1/4-mile.
4th pick: #9 (Strike Midnight) (20-1) - Longshot has more early speed than most and that may play well in this rather pace-less looking field. He's exchanged decisions with 'Inspector Lynley' this year and was less than a length in back of 'Camelot Kitten' Aug. 5th at Saratoga.
