Top pick: #10 (TURBULENT DESCENT) - She looked great when winning the (G1) Ballerina at Saratoga August 24th going 7 furlongs. Race was her first off a 70 day freshing and first off a trainer change to Todd Pletcher. Stalker draws a nice outside post, has lots of speed to track, and finished second on this surface in the Acorn Stakes (G1) in June of 2011. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #5 (C C's Pal) - As consistent as they come, she's (7-3-2-2) this year and last out at Saratoga she rallied late to win the (G2) Honorable Miss on Aug. 3. She likes it here (3-2-0-1) and is one for one at this trip.
3rd pick: #8 (Risky Rachel) - Talented New York-bred is in career best form at present and she's racing at her home track today. Mare is (5-3-1-1) on this dirt and one of her best ever came at this 6.5 furlong distance. Must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #1 (Roman Treasure) - She finished in back of "C C" last out at saratoga, but had a lot of problems that day. Filly is 3-for-4 locally, has a speed/stalking style, and draws the rail. Don't just ignore.
