Top pick: #1 (LIVIN LOVIN) - Talented filly makes only her second start of 2009. She showed last year that she's a runner of quality and trainer Steve Klesaris picked the (G1) "Acorn" for her seasonal debut. Daughter of "Birtstone" broke poorly that day and still finished a respectable fourth, beaten by just under three lengths. Working superbly, she was scratched last weekend at Delaware from both the Oaks (G3) and the Delaware Park Hdcp.(G2) to await this spot. Draws the rail and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #3 (Don't Forget Gil) - Freshened-up since a poor effort in the "Black Eyed Susan" (G2) at Pimlico on May 15, New York-bred daughter of "Kafwain" is working very fast for her return and she has a shot at the exotics at a big price.
3rd pick: #5 (Devotee) - Godolphin runner finished a pace-chasing third in her return from overseas on July 3. Lightly raced and beautifully-bred she's been pointed towards this race for some time.
