It was her first following a Linda Rice claim, and the outside draw today is a plus at this one-turn mile. She gets a very slight edge in a competitive contest.
2nd pick: #9 (Newcomb) (8-1) - Longshot has early speed and enters off a maiden win July 30 at Saratoga. It was her first start back from an almost 14-month layoff, and this home bred can factor right back at a big price.
3rd pick: #8 (Belle Postiere) (2-1) - French import ships up from Monmouth where she ran evenly Aug. 21st. It was only her second start since coming off a year's layoff June 2, and trainer Chad Brown drops her down in class and has her working both frequently and above average.
4th pick: #6 (Rosedale Arch) (8-1) - Mare chased the pace and held down the 2nd position when racing at this level and distance Aug. 24th at Saratoga. Well bred 5yo is back in shape following a year's absence and must be left in the mix.
5th pick: #5 (Frostie Anne) (12-1) - Stalker drops back down following an even effort Sept. 5th at Saratoga. It was her first off a Joe Sharp claim, and he had her breeze a bullet half-mile here Sept. 19th. Can grab a share at long odds.
