Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #10 (BROOKLYN SPEIGHTS) (7-2) - Gelding is racing third back off a nine month layoff and first off a private trainer switch to Brian Lynch. Speed/stalker has finished within range in both return starts at Saratoga and can take this with a slight move forward.
nd pick: #11 (Southern Union) (4-1) - Speed/stalker has been sharpin five straight at this level racing on the grass. In shape, 3-year-old has gone 3-0-2-1 here at Belmont and has done so facing tougher looking fields than this.
rd pick: #7 (Priest N the Rabbi) (5-2) - The morning line favorite, 4-year-old is racing third off a 10 month absence. Stalker ran well in both return races at Saratoga, the latest coming at this distance Sept 4. Gelding by top turf sire 'Kitten's Joy' is an obvious threat.
th pick: #6 (Vino Blanco) (15-1) - Longshot is racing third back off a long vacation (8.5 months) and has had trouble (not of his own doing) at he break in both return outings. Think he's a late threat at a big price.
th pick: #2 (Dan the Man) (12-1) - Finger Lakes shipper is racing on the grass for the first time. Gelding has early speed and most by his sire ('Utopia') can handle the turf. He was working fast before shipping and can't be eliminaed
