Top pick: #9 (THATZA WRAP) (10-1) - Longshot raced both wide and evenly at this level going two-turns on the Saratoga turf Aug. 29. It was her first race in almost 70 days, and this daughter of "Hard Spun" has been working well since. Broman home bred is cutting back in distance, and stretch runner should get a fast and/or contested pace to close into.

nd pick: #8 (Given Fire) (7-2) - Lightly raced mare comes off an easy wire-to-wire maiden win going 5.5-furlongs on the "Spa" lawn Aug. 7. It was her first start since late Sept. of 2013 and first for trainer Lisa Lewis. That score earned her the highest last out "figure" of any entered, and this home bred by "Point Given" is a win candidate this afternoon.

rd pick: #5 (Jet Majesty) (3-1) - Lightly raced and speedy, she's been competitive in all four starts to date, and broke her maiden on the Saratoga grass July 18. Working well, she's in a winning barn (Wesley Ward), and filly has plenty of room for upside.

th pick: #6 (Baby B) (12-1) - Price play had no chance from the 11-post on Aug. 24 in the same last race as "Thatza Wrap." She showed early speed, but was hung extremely wide the whole race and was under pressure after turning into the stretch. Stalker fits here, draws better, and can impact at long odds.

th pick: #7 (Missy Bay) (20-1) - This filly also exits the same Aug. 24 race as several others, and she raced evenly from her rail post. She's nearing her best following a five month layoff and could grab a minor award at a very big price.
